How do I apply for an Alphanumeric Caller-ID

Since July 13th, 2023, new regulations have been introduced in Australia in order to send SMS using an Alphanumeric ID.

This in order to reduce the amount of anonymous Spam and Scam messages sent to users across the country.

Businesses who want to send informational SMS to their customers now require handing in information that clearly identifies them.

Aatrox needs the following information from your Business:

Sender’s Legal Company or Business Name

Sender’s Mailing Address (Street address, P.O.Box, company name, c/o)

City

State

Postal Code

Sender's Company Phone number

Company Business Trade License/VAT or Tax Number

Company CEO's name

Company CEO's email

Is the Sender a subsidiary of a parent company? (Yes/No)

Specify whether you will use the Alphanumeric Sender ID for transactional or promotional purposes.

If you don’t select the Promotional option (or if that option is not available in the country selected) you cannot send promotional messages. If you violate this rule, your traffic may be suspended, or the local authorities may impose penalties.

Transactional: One-time passwords, two-factor authentication, account notifications, order or booking confirmations, or similar messages not intended to advertise or market goods/services.

Promotional: Any form of marketing or advertising.

Describe what you will be using the Alphanumeric Sender ID for

We need enough information about how you will use the Alphanumeric Sender ID so that local carriers can understand the type of messages your subscribers will receive.

Sample SMS message (between 1 - 160 characters).

Select the number of SMS messages you will you send per month.

Specify whether you will send SMS text messages domestically or internationally.

Domestic: SMS sent from within the selected country.

International: SMS sent from outside of the selected country.

International and Domestic: SMS sent from both within and from the outside of the selected country.

Will you be using this Alphanumeric Sender ID in Authy or Verify products? (Yes/No)

Please note the following requirements for a Sender ID:

• Sender ID must be between 3 - 11 characters.
• Include at least one letter.
• Do not use special characters (e.g. #, @)
• Use Friendly Name
• Not available if already in use
