Updating the Yealink WH6x Headset


From the actual view inside the USB Connect software it can be seen that there is a new Firmware version available. 


To apply the new Firmware, click on the relevant device:


In the left section choose 'Update Device':


The next page shows the current version and the new version:


In order to update a DECT Headset, add the Headset on the charging cradle.

Bluetooth Headsets can be updated regularly, just ensure they have enough battery time left or plug them in.


Then press 'Update now':


Read the points lined out and confirm to proceed by pressing 'OK':


After the OK button was pressed, the firmware is transferred to the Headset Base:


Once Transferred the firmware will be applied.

During this process do NOT:

  • remove the Headset from the cradle
  • disconnect the USB from the PC


You will also see the Microphone LED on the Base flash Red & Green and the LED on the Headset flash yellow at first, then turn to Red & Green flashing.


Once the upgrade has been applied successfully, click on the OK button to return to the overview:


Then choose 'Return' to go back to the device list:
