Will there be any downtime during my port?

We know that your telephone number is critical to your business. Our goal when you port in or port out your number to keep any service interruption or down time to a minimum even non existent!




There is no impact to existing services until the port is confirmed and the port is completed.


During the porting, there will be a short downtime while the losing carrier and donor carrier update the routes to us.


Once a port starts the old phone system will stop receiving calls until it completes. Calling the phone number(s) being ported may result in a "this service is disconnected" message. (This is completely normal) Ports are usually completed within 30 minutes but may take up to an hour depending on the losing carrier.


During the port, you will still be able to make outbound calls using our network. Once the port is completed calls will start arriving via Aatrox and you will receive a porting completed notification once we have tested all the numbers.
