This guide will walk you through setting up call transcription in 3CX using OpenAI Whisper. Please note that this feature is available exclusively for 3CX Version 20 Enterprise.
Setting Up Your OpenAI Whisper Account
To use Whisper for call transcriptions, you'll first need an OpenAI account or purchase a key through us.
Create an OpenAI Account & Purchase a Key OR Buy a key from Aatrox Communications.
Configuring OpenAI Whisper in 3CX
Once you have your OpenAI API key, follow these steps to configure it in 3CX:
Access the 3CX Admin Console
Log in to the 3CX Admin Console.
Go to Integrations > Transcription.
Set Up Whisper as the Transcription Engine
Select OpenAI Whisper as the transcription engine.
Paste the API key you copied earlier into the Secret Key field.
Choose the default speech language (OpenAI can auto-detect language, but a default selection is required).
Specify what you want to transcribe.
Save Settings
Click Save to apply the configuration.
Managing Recordings in the 3CX Admin Console
After setting up Whisper, all selected recordings will be transcribed automatically using OpenAI.
